ADU’s journey began in 1982, when Thomas Oliff opened the first Appliance Distributors Unlimited showroom just outside his hometown of Washington, D.C., in Takoma Park. It was built on Thomas’s vision to become the first appliance store in the area to truly focus on customer needs, offering unparalleled expertise to builders, remodelers, designers, and homeowners searching for the right appliances.
Over the last 40 years serving the Mid-Atlantic, and with nine showrooms across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, we have stayed true to that vision.
